his story
Born and bred Mancunian, Scott Steadman always had the love for house music since the tender age of 6 years old when his older brothers and sisters introduced him to the house sound coming from the infamous Hacienda Club. He grew to love this type of house music and would often borrow his brothers and sisters mixtapes.

At 14, Scott decided he wanted to become a DJ and went out and purchased his first pair of 1210's. Self taught and having determination, he carried on playing his old skool borrowed vinyl. It was only when Scott ventured into Eastern Bloc records - did he discover current house music at the time. This ignited his passion and he would buy records every weekend; listening to the likes of Mousse T. and Barbara Tucker. He then knew that this was the sound he had been searching for and his journey began.

Scott secured his first gig playing a night in Fallowfield called Flow. From then on, he started getting local gigs in bars all over Manchester, Oldham and Ashton. After 2 years of hard graft, he began to get noticed by various well known DJs in Manchester. Scott was a regular at a Club called Venus and it was there he realised the standard required.

Along the way, he met a well known Manchester DJ by the name of John Steward, who he later became good friends with and they played together at Revolution in Manchester. John passed on his knowledge and fine tuned Scott to become the DJ he is today. Over time, Scott has accomplished many personal achievements, becoming a resident at Sankeys (Manchester) for 7 years, where he played alongside the likes of Roger Sanchez, Eric Morillo, The Martinez Brothers, Mark kNight and David Morales. Scott eventually got his wish to become a Venus resident and played at popular nights such as Plush, Twisted Elegance, Music De Casa and Bitch. He has also played for world famous brands such as Defected, Hed Kandi, In bed with Space and Pukka Up. This isn't to mention the clubs he has held residencies at such as Ampersands (Manchester), Garlands (Liverpool), Pacha (London), Egg (London) Stinkies (Leeds), Mission (Leeds) and Bushwacka (Birmingham).

Scott currently has his own night in Leeds called structure which will be holding events throughout the year. we are sure it will be a huge success. scott has a strong presence in leeds and structure has a fantasic line up of resident DJ's and Guests, playing all things house, Deep house, minimal house and Tech.
